Qianhai affordable housing is an important part of the Shenzhen Municipal Government’s comprehensive implementation of the national affordable housing project, as well as an important project for creatively exploring urban development space and innovatively exploring new modes of subway construction.

 

The project is located on the east side of the Qianhai Development Zone to the south, with Baoan Avenue in the north, Shenzhen West Railway Station in the east, Binhai Avenue in the south, and Qianhai Water City in the west. With a total construction area of ​​773,000 square meters, it is composed of 32 high-rise buildings. The main units include 35 square meters single apartment, 40 square meters one bedroom and one living room and 50 square meters small two bedrooms, and are equipped with a 24-class primary school and Two 12-class kindergartens and some commercial facilities, with a total investment of about 3.2 billion yuan.

 

Yesterday, the main structure of the first batch of 10 buildings of the project was capped, marking the beginning of the capping phase of all 32 high-rise buildings of the project. The entire project is scheduled to be delivered in the second half of 2013. By then, approximately 12,000 public rental housing units with moderate decoration will be provided.

 

Hong Hailing, deputy director of the Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, said that the development of affordable housing on the subway depot is a useful attempt in Shenzhen to speed up the improvement of the housing conditions of groups with housing difficulties, and creatively broaden and solve the construction of affordable housing. Since 2008, our city has arranged a total of 22,000 sets of affordable housing on the Qianhai, Tanglang, and Shekou West Depots, with a construction area of ​​more than 1 million square meters.

 

In addition, according to the requirements of the "Shenzhen Housing Security Development Plan (2011-2015)" and the survey data of various districts, in 2012, Shenzhen plans to arrange for the construction of 40,000 new affordable housing units, of which, public rental housing (including low-rent housing) 0.8 10,000 sets, 22,000 sets of affordable commercial houses (including affordable housing), and 10,000 sets of resettlement houses. It is planned to start construction of 30,000 sets of affordable housing, and plan to complete 10,000 sets of affordable housing. It is expected that the supply of affordable housing in Shenzhen will reach its peak in 2013 and 2014. By then, the housing difficulties of low-income households and talent groups in household registration can be greatly alleviated.

 

By the end of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, the city will have built up to 480,000 affordable housing units. The number of talent groups enjoying monetary subsidies and low- and middle-income families with housing difficulties will reach 170,000. 2 million people provide housing security. By then, the city's already-built affordable housing will increase the proportion of the registered population from 37.6% to 52%, and the proportion of permanent residents that can cover 9.1% to 19%.
